开头不加 The

问题也太多了吧，主语是life，应该用单数第三人称，而且这种肯定是现在式啊，怎么能用过去式，后面一句还是句子吗？？

富裕的物质生活给人民带来了好处，因此人们都争先恐后的追逐金钱。
