insist--insist on (doing) sth
devote--be devoted to (doing) sth
whether后面可以加or not,if后面不可以．如I don't care whether I can get it or not．我不在乎我是否可以得到它.这里不能用if,用的话就不能加or not.而whether可加也可不加．
hope to do sth或者hope that...,wish sb sth或者wish that...或者wish th do sth.不同的是wish后面一般加虚拟语气，表示实现的可能性几乎为零．
other后面通常加复数，any other后面通常加单数，常用于疑问句，others本身表示复数，不需加什么，the other是两者之间的一个．如I have two aunts; one lives in Tokyo and the other in Osaka.我有两个姑妈；一个住在东京，另一个住在大阪。
None of...,No的话后面直接加名词好了．
sometimes有时 sometime某一时间 some time相当一段时间
