为什么是选C而不是选B呢,英语老师明明说有一定范围内剩下的应该用the other

答案都不好，如果有the others最好，没有的话只有选C others将就一下了，B the other是单数。

others＝other＋一个名词复数，例如“other students ＝others”

他们说得太复杂,不好懂,同是学生的我来告诉你:the other 相当于一个形容词，后面要加名词．others相当于一个名词．懂了吗？其实有时候学习英语语感很重要，难道你不觉得将C代入原句会很流利吗？还有，学习英语的另一个诀窍是不要钻牛角尖，要空出思维来多角度理解语法，同时要注意词性

但是这里并没有明确地将学生分为两部分，也许还有其他的学生在干其他事，也许没有，不是很确定，所以不能用the other
