上海的牛津版教材，初二，chapter3中有一句话——
"We were down in the bookshop,buying postcards."
这句话为什么是“were down”以及“buying”，希望大家给我解释解释清楚时态问题，谢谢。

1,应该选 A，这句话中what we can是用来修饰 do的，你可以把它省略来看，句子是we will do （what we can) to help you with your English study
what about going out for a walk?
那个教材的 我不太明白 ，但是2道题 我明白。
第一道，what we can 做的是do的定语 所以 help 是接在 do 的后面的，所以选a
第二道，添what about 或者 how about 意思是 做什么怎么样 ？
were down表示当过去发生的事情，buying在这里是做为伴随状欲，指当时正在买明信片
we can 修饰what 而what to help........做do的宾语
were dowm 表示刚才在书店，buying 表示现在在买明信片，
第一选A what to do z做DO 的宾语是特殊疑问词加动词不定式的结构
第二题what about 介词或后接动名词
We were down in the bookshop,buying postcards = we were buying postcards down in the bookshop. were down 不是一个词组~~ down表示方向
