因为过节,所以某商店里的所有东西价钱全部下降了10%,
问:How much was 现在59元的东西 before?
My Maths teacher's answer is: 59×(1+10%)=59×1.1=64.9(元)
My answer is : 59÷(1-10%)=59÷0.9=65.6元
请问:Who is right,my Maths teacher or I?

my maths teacher's answer is: 59x(1+10%) = 59x1.1 =64.9 RMB.
my answer is : 59/(1-10%) = 59÷0.9 = 65.6 RMB

i think you are right.
assume the original price is x RMB
then the equation would be like this:
x*0.9 = 59
so, x = 59/0.9.
