XXX-poisoning是名词，而XXX-poisoned是过去动词，所以前句是got xxx-poisoning，即种了毒(种了食物的毒），was xxx-poisoned是被动词，被毒(被毒气毒害）。

二者皆可……

我靠，这个问题其实很简单啊。food-poisoning 是个名词，food-poisoned是个形容词。
先看第一句The students got food-poisoning after eating the potatoes in teh dining-room。
got(get)是个动词，后面的food-poisoning是个名词， 作为get的宾语。
而第二句The woman was gas-poisoned.句子什么结构啊，主+系+表 gas-poisoned是个形容词在这里作表语。
不知道是不是明白了。
