圣经中仅出现两次boils,(英王钦定本）其中的含义也十分明显。

伯2:7 于是撒但从耶和华面前退去，击打约伯，使他从脚掌到头顶长毒疮。
So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.

出9:11 行法术的在摩西面前站立不住，因为在他们身上和一切埃及人身上都有这疮。
And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.

但是单数的boil出现15次。但是也没有你所说的句子。这个单词有沸腾的意思，也有疖子毒疮的意思（特别是复数）。约伯记出现的另一个boil就是沸腾的意思。
