HSP70作为分子伴侣，在维持细胞的正常形态及功能中起着重要作用,参与其他蛋白质的折叠、转运、合成等过程,与细胞内的其他肽类蛋白质结合,参与细胞的抗损伤、修复和热耐受过程,其在多种疾病过程中的重要作用已经被大量证据证实（6）。正常细胞中，HSP70表达受细胞周期调控,而肿瘤细胞中突变或异常蛋白质的存在可刺激HSP70的合成，使其呈现持续的高表达(6)HSP70的表达在影响细胞的凋亡和癌基因及肿瘤的发展中起着十分重要的作用（2、）。现已有令人信服的证据,支持EB病毒是鼻咽癌的致病因子,肯定参与鼻咽癌的多阶段、多因素发生过程（7）。本研究发现HSP70在鼻咽癌患者组织中的表达与血清EB病毒IgA/VCA滴度有相关性，HSP70在临床Ⅱ、Ⅲ期鼻咽癌患者组织中的表达阳性率为60.5%，其表达及含量与血清EB病毒IgA/VCA滴度呈正相关（P=0.001），可能提示鼻咽癌细胞中EB病毒随癌细胞增生加速而增多可能是患者IgA/VCA滴度升高的原因（8），有可能是EBV等因素刺激导致了HSP70的表达，亦可能与HSP70表达使EBV感染的肿瘤细胞得以大量增殖有关。已有研究认为HSP70-2 在鼻咽癌组织中表达与鼻咽癌发生危险度有关（9）。
