摘要：篆刻在元代由文人将印章转变为文人艺术后才流行起来，本文谈论的是清代篆刻艺术，主要从清代篆刻的繁盛（可分为明末清初、清中叶、晚清这三个阶段来论述），清代篆刻的成就、特色以及繁盛的原因。我将篆刻艺术置于清社会文化生活的大背景下来探讨清代篆刻艺术的繁盛。我认为清代篆刻艺术在继承传统发展个性勇于创新上具有突出成就，对我们能更好的理解、继承清代篆刻艺术具有重要意义，而且对近现代影响深远。
