和室内设计一样，色彩发展到今天，已不仅瞒住表面的形式化，更与生活接轨，由美学上升为实用的，工程性的，并对形式美的追求到了一种内质的美、感觉和体验。色彩学的产生，解决了人们生活中的诸多问题。它不仅是一种理论，更重要的是一种手段，是室内设计师追求个性化手段的最有利的手段之一。它不仅具有很高的审美价值，而且作为一种特定语言符号传达特定的视觉效果和事物内容。由于长期以来我们对色彩理论，色彩设计不够重视，对色彩研究还是很有限，因而在设计方面很难会有令人满意的设计手法的资料。
本文旨在阐述科学的运用创造居住环境的个性化，通过色彩来体现设计理念，使设计成,为一种既能体现功能又能令人赏心悦目的环境艺术。
