摘 要
中国东北地区，资源丰富、经济基础雄厚，一直是全国重要的农业基地和重工业基地，对全国的经济建设做出了不朽的贡献。辽宁作为东北地区重要的一个省市，其经济的发展对东北地区的发展起着至关重要的作用。
改革开放后，辽宁省的外贸竞争力提升速度不快，不但慢于沿海的发达省区，而且慢于全国的平均水平，减弱了对经济增长的带动作用。中国入世以后，国内竞争环境日益加剧，原有的优势可能成为劣势，中国的改革开放进入了一个全新的发展阶段。如何在新一轮的市场竞争中扩大对外贸易额，改善出口商品结构，提高外贸竞争力，以带动经济的快速发展成为辽宁急待解决的关键问题。
本文首先阐明辽宁省发展对外贸易的现状。然后从宏观与微观两个方面对影响辽宁贸易发展的因素进行分析。最后针对辽宁省自身的优势和特点，有针对性地对辽宁省的对外贸易发展提出可行对策，特别须选择了沈阳和大连两个不同类型的城市提出了具体的发展建议，重新定位辽宁对外贸易结构，以达到对外贸易和谐有序地发展的目的。
