一段话不明白

And I suspect love was on his mind either.

最后一行的love was on his mind either不明白.
而且,这里为什么用either呢,不是说否定句里才能用either的么

‘这不是我们结婚的正确理由。婚姻和爱情无关。我不爱他。我怀疑他心中也并无爱情。’

suspect和doubt都表示怀疑，但用法大不相同。一般来说含suspect的句子，意思会跟后面跟随的从句的意思相反，如：
i suspected that he would go with us.我怀疑他不会跟我们一块儿去。
而使用doubt，句子的意思就会变得不确定：
i doubted that he would go with us.我怀疑他会不会跟我们去。

所以，原文中的‘And I suspect love was on his mind’是否定句，要用either。
