I ____out when the telephone rang. 空格处为何不可以填was going 而要填 was about to go？ I was leaving when the telephone rang 为何又是正确的？ I was going downstairs when the telephone rang. 为何也是正确的？

如果I was going downstairs when the telephone rang.是对的，那么填was going就绝对是对的，我认为也可以这样填，表示正走出去的时候，电话响了，而was about to go 是刚准备走时，电话响了，我认为题意为后者，高中这样的题很多，出题人说了算，很无聊。
