为什么这儿用doing？？

现在分词作伴随状语
伴随状语的特点是：它所表达的动作或状态是伴随着句子谓语动词的动作而发生或存在的

比如
The teacher came in the classroom with handing a book in his hand.
with handing就是个例子

伴随状态

做伴随状语吧……类似：So I drove back to the town by taking frequent glances at the map and began to retrace the route。

分词做伴随状语。因为是主动所以用doing,如果是被动就用done

这里是现在分词表伴随动作。也可以用and drove.但是只用drove是不可以的因为一个句子在大部分情况下是不能单独使用两个以上动词做谓语而没有连词连接的。
