prohibit和forbid的区别？

当prohibit和forbid 作为动词"阻止,不许"的意思时候, 意义上没有区别.
但是用法上有区别.

prohibit通常后接介词from. 例如: 医生阻止(不许)他吸烟.

The doctor prohibits him from smoking.

The doctor forbids him to smoke.

这就是二者在用法上的区别.
