Metacognition is one of the important theory in the cognitive psychology which accepted and attracted by most of the people. Metacognition is a high-level cognition. This paper draws attention on metacognitive strategy about English study. According to the questionnaire on the freshmen and senior students, the investigative data shows that in the aspect of using metacognitive strategy, freshmen is better than the senior students. It gives some inspiration on the teaching.
元认知是现代认知心理学中的一个重要概念，已被越来越多的人接受和重视。元认知是一种高级的认知，它通常被定义为对认知的认知。本文通过对大一大四两组学生有关元认知策略的调查，来探究元认知策略在不同年级学生中对于英语学习的应用，分类为目标和计划，注意力安排，自我管理，自我监控，自我评价五个方面。通过调查数据显示大四学生不如大一学生在元认知策略方面应用的好，在今后的教学中给了我们很多启示。

This paper research the application of the Metacognition,which is used in diffent grades students in english studing, through the survey on two groups of students about the metacognition tactic.It is classified into five aspects including: aim and plan,the arrange of attention ,self-manage,self-monitor,self-comment.According to the questionnaire on the freshmen and senior students, the investigative data shows that in the aspect of using Metacognitive strategy, the first grade students is better than the forth grade students in college. It gives us lots of inspirations on teaching methods for the future.
